It is now confirmed that Nikon will announce D6 flagship DSLR camera on September 4th, 2019. This could be just a development announcement. Stay tuned for more info. The Z 24mm f/1.8 S lens could be also announced on that day.

Several days ago, NIKKEI confirmed that Nikon will release a new mirrorless camera price around $1,000. Now another Japanese news site Nikkan Kogyo Shimbun talked with Nikon CEO Toshikazu Umatate, and confirmed that Nikon will also release a new high-end flagship Z-mount mirrorless camera which is similar as currently Nikon D5 DSLR camera (or upcoming Nikon D6). Though the release date is not available yet, maybe in 2020 to 2021.
