According to CR, a leaked image could be the upcoming Canon tilt-shift lens to be announced at the end of this month.
According to CR, Canon is going to update two new super telephoto prime lenses in 2018. Canon has already updated 4 new super telephoto prime lenses in last several years, first the EF 300mm f/2.8L IS II & EF 400mm f/2.8L IS II came, followed by the EF 500mm f/4L IS II & EF 600mm f/4L IS II a few months later.
The Canon EF 85mm f/1.4L IS USM lens is the next L lens to be announced from Canon, this lens has rumored for a long time just as recently announced Canon EOS 6D Mark II (B&H Photo/Amazon/Adorama). Now according to CR, the EF 85mm f/1.4L IS USM lens is rumored to be announced in late August to early September, and the shipping date is in this Fall.
According to recently rumors on CR, along with EF 85mm f/1.4L IS USM lens coming in this Summer. Canon is still working on the rumored Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L IS USM lens. The release date of this lens is currently unknown, could be announced in late 2017 to 2018. Previous development of this lens is not announced due to weight and size.
Canon today has announced a new camera and a new lens. The new camera is Canon PowerShot SX730 HS, and the new lens is EF-S 35mm f/2.8 Macro IS STM lens. The price for PowerShot SX730 HS is $399, the price for EF-S 35mm f/2.8 Macro IS STM lens is $349. Both camera and lens will be shipping in June, 2017.
As previous rumors, a new EF-S wide-angle prime lens for Canon APS-C DSLR cameras is rumored to be announced on April 5, 2017. Now, according to CR, this lens is EF-S 35mm f/2.8 M IS STM lens. This EF-S 35mm f/2.8 M IS STM lens contains “M” in lens description. The “M” is the unique new feature for this lens.
