The upcoming Canon EOS RP full frame mirrorless camera will be officially announced in mid February, 2019. Just ahead of WPPI show 2019 and CP+ show 2019 at the end of February.
As rumored before, the IBIS feature will coming to an EOS R camera sometime in this year. Canon will also release a new EOS R camera body that have a 100MP full frame sensor, to replace current EOS 5DS/5DS R DSLR cameras.
According to latest rumors from CR, Canon currently is working on a new EOS R body with a 75+ MP full frame sensor. As rumored before, Canon has scrapped one DSLR camera line, the most possible DSLR camera is Canon EOS 5DS/5DS R line. So this new high megapixel EOS R body could be the replacement of EOS 5DS and 5DS R.
Several days ago, we already posted rumored Canon roadmap for the first half of 2019. Now according to CR, Canon will announce 3 new APS-C DSLR cameras in 2019 too, and a total of 3 EOS R bodies and 5 RF lenses before Q2, 2020. Rumors also said that Canon has scrapped at least one DSLR camera in development.
