The Canon EOS-R1 is an upcoming Canon’s flagship full frame mirrorless camera release date is expected in Q4 of 2024. Price & Specs & Release Date is not available yet, stay tuned.
Canon’s launch cycle has been unconventional lately, likely due to past leaks of major products. Simon from The Ordinary Filmmaker reports that a source with a 75% hit rate claims Canon will officially announce two full-frame camera bodies this month. Interestingly, one of them isn’t the EOS R1, which is expected to have a similar development announcement and launch as the EOS R3 prior to the Tokyo games.
Canon has just registered a new camera code DS126904 in China. Currently, Canon has a total of five unannounced cameras registered in China.
According to CR, the long awaited Canon EOS R1, EOS R5 Mark II, and RF 35mm f/1.4L USM lens will be officially announced on May 21-23, 2024. Stay tuned for more info.

Canon has just registered a new camera code “DS126928” in China several days. Along with previous camera code “DS126922”, now there are two unannounced Canon cameras, most probably the EOS R5 Mark II and EOS R1.

According to CR, while many expected the upcoming Canon EOS R5 Mark II camera to feature a 60MP sensor, it will likely retain the same 45MP resolution as its predecessor. However, it will introduce first-time AI autofocus features to enhance performance.
Both the EOS R5 Mark II and upcoming flagship EOS R1 are rumored to integrate AI for more intelligent focusing abilities. One possibility is the ability to reliably track a specific face or person despite other distractions in the frame.

According to CR, Canon is preparing to launch two highly anticipated cameras, the EOS R5 Mark II and EOS R1, in the coming months. According to sources, the plan is to announce these cameras in late April or early May, with the intention of having them available for photographers to use at both Euro 2024 in June and the Summer Olympic Games in July.
Wild rumored specifications of Canon EOS R1 was leaked online. It will feature a 30-megapixel sensor capable of continuous shooting at up to 240 frames per second and 6.7K60p recording.
