Fujifilm has announced the new X-T2 (Amazon, B&H Photo Video, Adorama)mirrorless camera today. It bringing 4K video capture to its lineup for the first time. X-T2 has a 24.3MP X-Trans CMOS III APS-C sensor first seen in the X-Pro2 and also includes an upgraded hybrid AF system with more focus points, as well as an AF-point selection joystick a la the X-Pro2. There’s also a faster top mechanical shutter speed of 1/8000 sec (1/32,000 sec with the electronic electronic), an improved AF-C algorithm and an overall boost in response times when using the camera. Like the X-T1, this camera is weather-sealed.
Pentax has officially announced the long awaited K-1 full frame DSLR camera. The price for Pentax K-1 body only is $1,796.95, now available for pre-order at B&H Photo Video, Amazon and Adorama. The shipping date of Pentax K-1 will be start on April 05, 2016. The K-1 offers a 36.4MP CMOS sensor, 5-axis sensor-shift image stabilization, a ‘nearly 100%’ optical viewfinder and 33-point AF system with 25 cross-type points. The 3.2″ 1.04M-dot LCD uses a new flexible tilting design which allows for horizontal, vertical and diagonal movement while keeping the screen in alignment with the lens axis.
The upcoming Pentax K-1 full frame DSLR will be announced soon, probably on February 18th, 2016. According to PR, the price for Pentax K-1 body only is Euro 1,999. And there will be a kit lens available: Pentax 28-105mm f/3.5-5.6 lens. A new HD Pentax-D FA 15-30mm f/2.8 SDM lens will be also announced at the same time.
The upcoming new flagship full frame DSLR camera: 1D X Mark II (Amazon/B&H Photo/Adorama) full detail and specs has just leaked online. It has a new 20.2MP full frame sensor, with dual pixel CMOS AF, native ISO 100-51,200, expendable to 409,600, continuous shooting up to 16 fps in live view mode. It also features dual DIGIC 6+ processor. The price for Canon EOS-1D X Mark II is $5,999.00, will be shipping on March, 2016.
Along with Nikon D5 at CES 2016, Nikon also announced the long awaited Nikon D300S successor: Nikon D500 flagship DSLR camera (Amazon, B&H Photo Video, Adorama). It features the same 153-point AF system and EXPEED 5 processor as the D5. It can shoot continuously at 10 fps with a 200 shot buffer for Raw images. It can also capture 4K/UHD video and also features ‘SnapBridge’, a constant connection to a smartphone using Bluetooth, similar to what Samsung did with its NX1. The D500 will be available from March at a cost of around $2000.
The long awaited Nikon DX format flagship DSLR camera Nikon D400 or Nikon D500 recently got another rumors. Canadian nature photographer Brad Hill recently posted rumored specs of Nikon D400 / D500: 10 fps, a very good buffer with a price tag around $2,300. NikonRumors also said there is a chance Nikon will announced Nikon D5 and Nikon D400/D500 at the same time, just like Nikon D3/D300 in past.
