Sigma has officially announced the price and release date of it’s 24-70mm f/2.8 DG DN Art lens for Sony E-mount and L-mount. The US price for this lens is $1,099, now available for pre-order at B&H Photo Video/Adorama/Focus Camera. The release date for this lens is on December 17th, 2019.
Sigma today has officially announced the new 24-70mm f/2.8 DG DN Art lens for Sony E-mount and L-mount. Price and release date is not available yet, stay tuned. This lens has a total of 19 elements, including low dispersion, special low dispersion and aspherical glass. Sigma’s ‘Super Multi-Layer’ and ‘Nano Porous’ coatings have been applied to reduce flare and ghosting. Autofocus is driven by a stepping motor and the lens can focus as close as 18cm (7.1″).
Here are first leaked images of upcoming Sigma full frame mirrorless lenses: Sigma 14-24mm f/2.8 DG DN Art Lens, Sigma 35mm f/1.2 DG DN Art Lens, Sigma 45mm f/2.8 DG DN Contemporary Lens. All these three lenses are available for Sony E-mount and L-mount.

As Nikon Z7 full frame mirrorless camera now already released, Sigma USA just issued a press release that their Nikon F-mount lenses has no issue with general operation when they are used on the Nikon Z7 and FTZ adapter. Sigma didn’t say anything whether they will release native Z-mount lenses in near future.
At Photokina 2018, Sigma announced that they will join with Panasonic, Leica for the new L-mount cameras and lenses. And Sigma will also release new L-mount full frame mirrorless camera with Foveon sensor in 2019.
