According to latest interview with Fujifilm manager by Cameta Camera at PhotoPlus EXPO 2018. Fujiflm manager confirmed that upcoming Fujifilm GFX 100 will cost $9,995 in US.
Along with GFX 50R, G mount lens roadmap, at Photokina 2018, Fujifilm announced the development of GFX 100S. The concept is to create Fujifilm’s flagship model with highest performance and innovative features fully capable of meeting the diverse needs of professional and high amateur photographers. It incorporates the world’s highest* 102 million pixels image sensor which is larger than 35mm full size sensor, realizing world-leading image quality with Fujifilm’s proprietary color reproduction technology accumulated over many years and ground-breaking mobility.
Along with GFX 50R, Fujifilm today also announced new GF lens roadmap, add three new lenses:
Under the development roadmap, Fujifilm will be adding three new lenses, including the “FUJINON Lens GF100-200mmF5.6 R LM OIS WR” (GF100-200mmF5.6 R LM OIS WR), which comes in response to customers’ needs for a new telephoto zoom lens, as well as the medium-range zoom lens “FUJINON Lens GF45-100mmF4 R LM OIS WR” (GF45-100mmF4 R LM OIS WR) and the lightweight compact standard single focus lens “FUJINON Lens GF50mmF3.5 R LM WR” (GF50mmF3.5 R LM WR). With these three new lenses, a lineup of 11 lenses will be available to support photographers with a diverse range of shooting styles.
Fujifilm has officially announced the new GFX 50R Medium Format mirrorless camera today. GFX 50R is a rangefinder-styled version of the company’s GFX 50S medium format camera. Featuring a large 51.4MP G Format CMOS image sensor and X-Processor Pro image processing engine, the GFX 50R delivers superior image quality in a compact and lightweight body reminiscent of their renowned medium format film cameras widely used in street and documentary photography. The GFX 50R is equipped with a 0.77×3.69M-dot organic “OLED” electronic viewfinder for accurate focusing and framing images. Weighing approximately 145g less than the GFX 50S, this camera offers intuitive handling in a rugged, weather-sealed body to meet the varying needs of photographers.
According to Nokishita Camera, Leica will announce a new medium format camera in the month, just ahead of Photokina 2018.
Leica is going to announce a new medium format camera later this year. The model name is Leica HW 64. It will most likely to be announced around Photokina 2018 in September.
Fujifilm today has officially announced GF 250mm f/4 R LM OIS WR Lens (B&H/Adorama), GF 1.4X TC WR teleconverter (B&H/Adorama), Macro Extension Tubes, and firmware updates, both large and small, for six of its X-series cameras, with the X-T2 receiving the most significant changes. These updates will begin rolling out this month and will continue through May.
