Canon has just filed a new lens patent for Canon APS-C DSLR cameras. This new lens patent is a super telephoto zoom lens: EF-S 100-300mm f/4-5.6 IS lens. A great lens for Canon EOS 7D Mark II for wild and sports photography.
Olympus has filed a new lens patent on M.ZUIKO DIGITAL ED 500mm f/4 PRO IS lens. This is another upcoming super-telephoto prime lens for Micro Four Thirds system. The Olympus 300mm f/4 PRO lens (B&H Photo Video) is delayed until late 2015.
Canon has recently filed a new lens patent on EF-S 20mm f/2.8 STM lens. Canon has already announced the EF-S 24mm f/2.8 Pancake lens recently. This seems another cheap prime lens for Canon APS-C DSLR cameras.
Canon has filed a new lens patent for Canon EF 10mm f/2.8L ultra-wide angle prime lens for full fram DSLR cameras. If this lens is announced one day, it will the widest prime lens for Canon full frame DSLR cameras. This lens could also replace the current EF 14mm f/2.8L II USM lens.
