Sony has just announced the new Sony a7RII full frame mirrorless camera, a 42.4MP mirrorless camera with an image stabilized full-frame BSI CMOS sensor. a7RII includes on-sensor phase detection elements for faster autofocus, which continues to work with other brands’ lenses. The camera also has a revised shutter mechanism, rated to 500,000 actuations but also promising less vibration than the one on its predecessor. The sensor is by far the largest backside illuminated CMOS chip to be released, allowing the maximum expanded ISO to rise two stops to 102,400.

Chad Wadsworth has a chance to tested the new announced Batis 25mm f/2 lens (B&H | Adorama), Batis 85mm f/1.8 lens (B&H | Adorama). The Zeiss Batis lenses haven’t released yet, it will be in stock in July. Similar as diglloyd’s review, Chad Wadsworth also said Zeiss Batis 85mm f/1.8 lens (B&H | Adorama) is a must buy lens for Sony FF shooters.

Zeiss has posted more sample images of new announced Batis 1.8/85(85mm f/1.8) (B&H | Adorama) and Batis 2/25(25mm f/2.0) (B&H | Adorama) lenses. These new sample images were taken by Sony a7II mirrorless camera. Batis lenses will be in stock and shipping in early July, 2015.
