
Canon is developing the EOS R1, the first flagship model for the EOS R SYSTEM, aimed at professionals and set for release in 2024. The camera combines top-class performance, durability, and reliability, and features a new image processing system consisting of the DIGIC Accelerator and DIGIC X processors, along with a new CMOS sensor. This system enables high-speed data processing and significant advancements in Auto Focus (AF) and other functions. By integrating deep learning technology, Canon has achieved high-speed and high-accuracy subject recognition, improved subject tracking accuracy, and introduced the AF “Action Priority” function for capturing decisive moments in sports. The new image processing system and deep learning technology also contribute to enhanced image quality, with an improved noise reduction function. Canon will continue to expand the EOS R SYSTEM lineup to meet user demands and contribute to the development of photography and video culture.
