Canon is developing the EOS R1, the first flagship model for the EOS R SYSTEM, aimed at professionals and set for release in 2024. The camera combines top-class performance, durability, and reliability, and features a new image processing system consisting of the DIGIC Accelerator and DIGIC X processors, along with a new CMOS sensor. This system enables high-speed data processing and significant advancements in Auto Focus (AF) and other functions. By integrating deep learning technology, Canon has achieved high-speed and high-accuracy subject recognition, improved subject tracking accuracy, and introduced the AF “Action Priority” function for capturing decisive moments in sports. The new image processing system and deep learning technology also contribute to enhanced image quality, with an improved noise reduction function. Canon will continue to expand the EOS R SYSTEM lineup to meet user demands and contribute to the development of photography and video culture.

Canon today has officially announced that they are developing currently the most advanced full frame mirrorless camera – Canon EOS R5, and a total of 9 RF lenses including RF 100-500mm f/4.5-7.1L IS USM lens and Extender RF 1.4x & Extender RF 2x. All these new products will be officially announced in 2020.

Panasonic has officially announced the development of Lumix DC-S1H full frame mirrorless camera today. It is able to capture 6K/24p video from the 3:2 region of its sensor and 5.9K from the 16:9 area. The camera will also be capable of 10-bit 4K/60p recording. In addition, it will support multi-aspect recording, such as anamorphic 4:3. Regardless of what video setting you’re using, the S1H will be able to keep recording until the battery dies or your card fills up. The US price for Panasonic Lumix S1H will be around $4,000, and release date in Fall 2019.

Tamron today has officially announced the development of three new full frame lenses: Tamron 17-28mm f/2.8 Di III RXD Lens for Sony full frame mirrorless cameras; Tamron SP 35mm f/1.4 Di USD Lens and Tamron 35-150mm f/2.8-4 Di VC OSD Lens for Canon EF mount & Nikon F mount full frame DSLR cameras. All these lenses will be released in the middle of 2019.
Along with Canon EOS RP, Canon announced the development of six new RF lenses. All these lenses will available in later 2019.

Along with the E-M1X, Olympus today also announced a new super telephoto zoom lens in developing: Olympus M.Zuiko Digital ED 150-400mm f/4.5 TC 1.25x IS PRO Lens.
This hefty lens will have a standard focal range of 300-800mm equiv. on Micro Four Thirds bodies, with a built-in 1.25X teleconverter increasing those numbers to 375-1000mm equiv., at the cost of 2/3-stop of light. If you want even more reach, the lens will also be compatible with Olympus’ new MC-20 2X teleconverter.
