Ricoh today has officially announced the new WG-70 ultra-rugged compact camera. It is a 16 Megapixel 1/2.3” backside-illuminated CMOS sensor with a maximum sensitivity of ISO 6400. In addition to stills, the camera captures 1080p (Full HD) video. The US price for Ricoh WG-70 is $276.95, now available for pre-order at B&H Photo Video/Adorama.
Ricoh has just announced that they are developing a new highest-end/flagship K-mount APS-C DSLR camera, will be officially announced in 2020. This camera will be reference exhibit at “PENTAX Meeting 100th Anniversary Special” in September.
According to Japanese website “Photo of the Day”, Ricoh will release a new Pentax APS-C DSLR camera next year around CP+ 2020. According to rumors, this camera will be the successor of Pentax K-3 II, but not K-3 III, will be a new line of camera similar to K-3 line with best image quality of all Pentax APS-C cameras. The image processing mechanism of this APS-C DSLR camera will dramatically improved.
