Ricoh has announced the development of GRIII high-end compact camera today, it will have a preview show at Photokina 2018. GRIII has a significant update to the GR and GR II. The camera gains sensor-shift image stabilization and on-sensor phase detection as part of an updated 24MP sensor. The camera’s 28mm equivalent F2.8 lens has also been redesigned and a touchscreen added for the first time. Price is not available yet, release date is in early 2019.

The Nikon COOLPIX P1000 super zoom bridge camera, which brings the telephoto end up to a once unthinkable 3000mm equiv. The lens has a maximum aperture of F2.8-8, compared to F2.8-6.5 on the P900, and has both ED and Super ED elements. This monster of a lens accepts 77mm filters and has two zoom speeds.
