Sony Announced new XQD Cards for Nikon D5 and D500

After Nikon has announced the new Nikon D5 and Nikon D500, Sony now introduced new XQD cards and SD cards designed for these two new cameras. The XQD-M series offers read speeds up to 440MB/sec and write speeds up to 150MB/s, and is available in 32, 64 and 128GB capacities. The new SF-M series of SD cards support up to 260MB/sec read and 100MB/sec write speeds. Sony also offers a new XQD/SD combination card reader.

Confirmed: Canon-1D X Mark II to be Announced in February/March, Shipping in April !

Nikon recently has announced the new Nikon D5 (Amazon, B&H Photo Video, Adorama) flagship full frame DSLR camera at CES 2016. So when will Canon release their 1D X Mark II ? CanonRumors has confirmed that Canon EOS-1D X Mark II will be announced in February or March of 2016. Probably at CP+ Show in Japan in February, and 1D X Mark II will start shipping in April, 2016.

At CES 2016, ZEISS and Fellowes ExoLens brands launch mobile phone accessory photography – Setting a New Quality Standard with new Zeiss Macro, wide-angle, telephoto lenses. These three lenses are scheduled to be released in late Q2, 2016. The wide-angle and telephoto lenses offer excellent image performance with outstanding edge-to-edge contrast. The macro lens features a zoom function – unique for accessory lenses of this type – for flexible image composition.

Nikon D500 4K DX Flagship DSLR Camera Announced, Price $1,999 !

Along with Nikon D5 at CES 2016, Nikon also announced the long awaited Nikon D300S successor: Nikon D500 flagship DSLR camera (Amazon, B&H Photo Video, Adorama). It features the same 153-point AF system and EXPEED 5 processor as the D5. It can shoot continuously at 10 fps with a 200 shot buffer for Raw images. It can also capture 4K/UHD video and also features ‘SnapBridge’, a constant connection to a smartphone using Bluetooth, similar to what Samsung did with its NX1. The D500 will be available from March at a cost of around $2000.
