Voigtlander NOKTON 50mm F1 Aspherical RF-mount to be Released

Cosina officially announced Voigtlander NOKTON 50mm F1 Aspherical lens. It is a large-diameter standard single focus lens for RF mount. Cullently, this lens is only for Leica M and Nikon Z mount.

Cosina today announced that it will release the NOKTON 50mm F1 Asperical, an interchangeable lens exclusively for Canon RF mount, in October 2023.

NOKTON 50mm F1 Aspherical RF mount is an ultra-large aperture standard lens compatible with full-frame mirrorless cameras that uses Canon RF mount. While achieving the brightest F1 as Voigtlander’s full-frame interchangeable lens, it also uses a GA (ground aspherical) lens to create a toned-down style.
Implements an optical system optimized for image sensors of mirrorless cameras that use Canon RF mount. It has become possible to simplify the lens configuration while ensuring high performance, and it has achieved both high-level image quality and a tight style despite its ultra-large aperture.

Equipped with a floating mechanism, it provides stable image quality from the shortest shooting distance to distant motifs.
The lens mount is equipped with electronic contacts to enable electrical communication between the lens and the body. In combination with the Canon EOS R system body, it supports Exif information, in-body image stabilization (3 axes), and 3 types of focus assist functions (enlarged display, peaking, focus guide).
In order to make the hole formed by the aperture blades more circular, a 12-element aperture is used.

Suggested retail price is 240,000 yen (excluding tax)
Minimum shooting distance 0.45m, filter diameter 67mm, maximum diameter 79.3mm, total length 64.0mm, weight 650g
