Sigma APO Macro 180mm F2.8 EX DG OS HSM lens is an image stabilized telephoto macro lens. The company claim it is the first 180mm macro to combine 1:1 reproduction with an F2.8 maximum aperture. It offers a closest focusing distance of 47cm (18.5 inches) and includes the company’s optical stabilization and ‘FLD’ fluorite-like glass elements. An internal focus design and ring-type HSM focus motor allow full-time manual focus override. Nikon has launched the AF-S Nikkor 18-300mm F3.5-5.6G ED VR lens, a 16.7x superzoom for APS-C DSLRs. The 18-300mm offers the highest ever zoom ratio for a Nikon interchangeable lens, giving a 27-450mm equivalent range on one of the company’s DX-format cameras. The lens is a much more complex design than the existing 18-200mm – utilizing 19 elements in 14 groups and, at 120mm long, is 23% longer. It features a 77mm filter thread.
Nikon has announced the AF-S Nikkor 24-85mm F3.5-4.5G ED VR, a comparatively affordable, stabilized, variable aperture standard zoom lens for full frame cameras. It comes as Nikon celebrates the sale of the 70 millionth Nikkor lens since 1933, and the 30 millionth silent-wave motor lens since the system’s introduction in 1996. It’s hard not to interpret the announcement as lending weight to the rumors of an affordable full-frame body, since it’s hard to imagine large numbers of D800 owners using a lens with a recommended price of $599 as their everyday lens.
Canon has developed the EF 40mm F/2.8 STM lens with stepper motors for fast, quiet operation when shooting video. The 40mm STM is a pancake prime lens for full frame and APS-C cameras. Feature stepper motors, to enable fast, quiet focus, particularly with the contrast-detection method of autofocus used for live view and video. It has electromagnetic diaphragms – allowing smooth and accurate control over aperture for video shooting.
Sony DSC-RX100 has just announced by Sony on June 05, 2012, RX100 is an enthusiast compact camera based around a 20MP 1″ CMOS sensor. It features a 28-100mm equivalent lens with F1.8-4.9 aperture range and image stabilization and is the first Sony compact to capture Raw files. It can shoot 1080p 60 and capture 17MP (16:9 crop) stills simultaneously. It features a lens control dial and a 3:2 aspect ratio sensor (the same proportions as most DSLRs). It’s also the first Sony compact to feature the company’s ‘White Magic’ LCD technology, promising a brighter or lower-power display.
Sony NEX-F3 has just announced by Sony on May 17, 2012, the same day which Sony A37 announced. Sony NEX-F3 is an entry-level 16MP mirrorless camera. The NEX-F3 gains a built-in flash, along with the updated 16MP sensor from its NEX-5N big brother. Its big party trick is undoubtedly its LCD, whose image automatically mirrors when it’s flipped up for taking self-portraits.
