DxOMark has just tested the new AF-S NIKKOR 24mm f/1.8G ED lens (Amazon/B&H/Adorama), this lens is the seventh f/1.8 prime G-type lens to be added recently to the Nikkor lineup. From the test result, we can see this lens is even better than some f/1.4 lens in 24mm range. See the test result below:

According to NR, Nikon is rumored to announce a new wide-angle prime lens: AF-S Nikkor 24mm f/1.8 Lens. This lens will be announced in early 2015, most on CES 2015 or CP+ in Japan.
