Sony a7RII w/ 42.4MP Sensor & 4K Video Recording Announced

Sony has just announced the new Sony a7RII full frame mirrorless camera, a 42.4MP mirrorless camera with an image stabilized full-frame BSI CMOS sensor. a7RII includes on-sensor phase detection elements for faster autofocus, which continues to work with other brands’ lenses. The camera also has a revised shutter mechanism, rated to 500,000 actuations but also promising less vibration than the one on its predecessor. The sensor is by far the largest backside illuminated CMOS chip to be released, allowing the maximum expanded ISO to rise two stops to 102,400.

Sony RX10 II, RX100 IV Both have 4K Video Recording and Stacked 20MP CMOS Sensor

Along with the new Sony a7R II 42.4MP full frame mirrorless camera, Sony today also announced two other cameras: Sony RX10 II and Sony RX100 IV. Both camera has 4K video recording and a new 1″ stacked 20MP CMOS sensor. The Sony RX10 II has the same lens Zeiss-branded 24-200mm equivalent F2.8 lens as RX10, and Sony RX100 II has the same lens 24-70mm equivalent F1.8-2.8 lens as RX100 IV. The price of Sony RX10 II is $1,298, the price of Sony RX100 IV is $948, both cameras will be in stock in July.
