According to recent interview with Bae Ji-hoon, head of Sony Korea Digital Imaging & Alpha Marketing Department, in the near future, Sony will concentrate on full frame cameras to beat Canon and Nikon.
From the interview:
“In the short run, we will target existing full-frame camera users and then attract those who use entry and mid-class models to upgrade their cameras in the long run, raising the popularity of full-frame cameras. To do so, we plan to boost our presence in the professional market such as photo studios and wedding photography.”
“Besides the stagnant growth of the camera market, the entry-class segment of the lens-interchangeable camera market is slowing down drastically,” Bae said.

Good job….slash the prices of Sony A7RII and A7II…upgrade firmware for faster autofocus (if possible) and for God sake..release a decent telephoto lens for the E-mount. 200mm isn’t telephoto…anything around 400 to 500mm minimum.
And make the edges smooth like Canon and Nikon so the paint won’t wear off the edges so fast. Or hurt your fingers on those sharp knobs.
