According to a dpreview forum post, the upcoming Canon EOS 5D Mark III successor will be called Canon EOS 5Dx, instead of Canon EOS 5D Mark IV.
The author from dpreview forum also said Canon EOS 5DX will feature a single DIGIC 7 quad core processor, while Canon EOS-1D X Mark II will features two DIGIC 7 processors and one DIGIC 6 processor.
The DIGIC 7 processor will be class leading and will be much faster than whats currently out. It will have multicores. The processing power will be equivalent to a laptop from years ago.
This is just another rumor on Canon EOS 5Dx or 5D Mark IV, see all previous rumors here.
