Sony FE 24-200mm F2.8-4.5 G OSS Lens is coming! According to SAR, this new lens will be announced in 2024.
Last week we leaked images of the new FE 24-50mm F2.8 G, and now we’ve received rumors about the second new G zoom lens, Sony FE 24-200mm F2.8-4.5 G OSS. If this lens is not so heavy, it will be high on my wish list.
The current Sony FE 24-240mm F3.5-6.3 lens (Amazon/ B&H) was released in 2015 and is quite old, and there have been many requests for a model change, so the arrival of a new high-power zoom lens is likely to be greatly welcomed by Sony E-mount users. However, the new model is considerably brighter with an F value of F2.8-4.5, and the zoom range is shorter at the tele end, so it may be a new lens rather than a direct successor to the FE 24-240mm.
