Nikon has officially announced the new D3500 DSLR camera today. It is an entry-level DSLR camera, the main change is that the body is similar to that of the even-smaller D5600, minus the articulating touchscreen display. The D3500 is also cheaper than its predecessor, with a list price of just $499 with an AF-P 18-55mm F3.5-5.6 VR lens, compared to $649 for a D3400 kit. Nikon has also managed to increase battery life by 30% to 1550 shots per charge, despite using the same processor and battery as the D3400. Nikon D3500 now available for pre-order at Amazon/B&H Photo Video/Adorama.
