According to leaked data sheet from Chinese weibo user, Canon has developed a new image sensor called “35MM63MXSCD”, this sensor has 63 megapixel and dual pixel AF. You can see leaked data sheet below:
Previous rumors said that Canon will release a new high megapixel full frame EOS R body in late 2019 to early 2020. Maybe it will use this 63MP sensor. Stay tuned.
