Canon is set to make some exciting announcements at 3 PM EDT June 5th at their upcoming Cinema EOS event on YouTube. The event is expected to showcase a range of new products from their Cinema EOS, EOS, and RF lines, potentially including some highly anticipated items.
Products to be announced :
One of the most significant announcements for photographers and videographers will be the unveiling of the first in a series of three L prime lenses designed for both stills and video. The Canon RF 35mm f/1.4L VCM will be the first to be released, with the “VCM” designation likely referring to a new linear focus motor, possibly a “Voice Coil Motor.” The RF 24mm f/1.4L VCM and RF 50mm f/1.4L VCM are also part of this trio, but it’s uncertain whether they will be mentioned during the event.
Another long-awaited product finally making its debut is the Canon Speedlite EL-10, which was initially reported last August. While it’s uncertain when the flash unit will be available for purchase, it’s encouraging to see it coming to market.
The Canon Cinema EOS C400 will also be announced at the event. Although details are scarce, it’s expected to be an impressive, albeit expensive, addition to the Cinema EOS lineup.
The event is set to take place at 3 PM EDT on Canon USA’s YouTube channel and promises to include a few more surprises. While the company is responsible for reporting on these new products, it’s important to note that they are not directly involved in the manufacturing process, which includes building factories, sourcing parts, and creating the gear itself.
