When we talk about the best cameras, we often end up with cameras that are overkill for most users, but the best cameras are the ones that actually have all the features you need and are sold at a fair price. I think Fujifilm X-S20 is the best option for 2023 for most people. This camera will still be a winner in 2024.

We’ve been longing for a full-size, retro-style mirrorless camera, and Nikon has finally delivered with the Zf. Nikon Zf is retro in style, but not technically retro. I don’t like color variations, but I have to admit that I’m a fan of Zf’s color variations (premium exterior colors). Zf follows the style of my favorite film camera very well, the FM2, which is why I’m a big fan of Zf.

I am a GFX50SII user and the image quality is great, but my clients’ video needs are increasing and this camera is not enough. GFX100II can change that situation. The GFX100II could be one of the best hybrid cameras, allowing you to create great stills and videos without having to change cameras. This camera is at the top of my Christmas list!

In times of financial hardship, affordable cameras are needed more than ever. But affordable SLRs are a thing of the past, and entry-level mirrorless cameras are either out of production or have had their prices hiked, leaving those who value value without many options. Then came the EOS R100, which costs $599 as a lens kit. Although the R100 doesn’t have many features as a camera, it is packed with all the features a photographer actually needs and can take great photos. If you want to switch from a smartphone to a proper camera, you can’t go wrong with the EOS R100.
