Panasonic S1R Mark II is coming! According to MR, Panasonic S1R successor may appear in 2023 based on store sales.There are two things that suggest Panasonic S1R II could come out in 2023.

The current Panasonic S1R was released in March 2019, so it wouldn’t be surprising if the successor model comes out soon. Since the lower model Panasonic S5 II is equipped with image plane phase difference AF and has gained popularity, we would like to expect a successor model that also uses image plane phase difference AF for S1/S1R. The penta cooling fan developed for the S5II may also be adopted for the S1/S1R successor.
