Panasonic Lumix S5 (Amazon/ B&H/ Adorama) was officially announced in September 2020. Now, according to the PR, Panasonic will announce a new Lumix S5 Mark II mirrorless camera for L-mount in February 2023 during the CP+ show in Japan.
There are rumors that Panasonic S5 will undergo a model change, but we wonder if Panasonic S5 that appeared in 2020 will undergo a model change before Panasonic S1 / S1R that appeared in 2019. There is no info about the specs of Panasonic S5 Mark II, but it seems that attention will be focused on whether it will adopt the image plane phase difference AF that has been mentioned in recent Panasonic interviews.
