Canon has announced the new EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS II USM lens. The lens itself is slightly taller, wider and heavier than the original, but the move to a rotating zoom design should resolve problems associated with dust being sucked in during operation. It also offers three image stabilization modes and offers 4 stops of stabilization compared to 1.5 in the previous model. The EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L II uses a totally new optical formula with one Fluorite and one Super UD element. The price for this lens is $2,199.00, will be in stock in December, 2014.

GoPro HERO4 Offers 4K at 30 fps, Price for $499
GoPro has announced the new HERO4 action camera, to replace HERO3+. The Hero4 Black is a new flagship model capable of 4K video at 30 fps, 2.7K video at 50 fps and 1080 at 120 fps. It will also allow for extraction of 8.3MP still images from 4K video footage. The Hero4 Silver offers a touch sensitive display and records 2.7K at 30 fps, 1080 at 60 fps and 720 at 120 fps. Both cameras can capture 12MP stills at 30 fps, and GoPro claims to have improved Wi-Fi performance in both models.
