Cosina has officially announced the Voigtlander SEPTON 40mm f/2 Aspherical pancake lens for Sony E-mount and Nikon Z-mount. This compact manual focus lens measures just 30mm from the mount surface and weighs only 165g. It will be available in March 2026 at a price of ¥85,000 (approx. $560).
Here are some new pancake lens patents from Canon. A total of 4 pancake lenses to be announced. They are Canon EF 45mm f/2.8, Canon EF 40mm f/2.8, Canon EF 35mm f/2.8, Canon EF 28mm f/2.8.
