The new Hasselblad H5D-50c 50MP CMOS sensor mediun format camera that was first announced in mid-January now available for pre-order online. The new H5D-50c is a step away from the CCD sensors that have been standard in their medium-format digital cameras. Hasselblad says the H5D-50c can shoot up to ISO 6400 with dynamic range of up to 14 stops.
Hasselblad has announced world’s first CMOS medium format camera – the H5D-50c which incorporates a 50MP CMOS sensor. This is a significant step away from the CCD sensors that have been standard in digital medium-format imaging up to now and potentially opens up the possibility of higher ISO sensitivities and faster capture rates than previous Hasselblad medium-format bodies. According Hasselblad’s press release, this H5D-50c will be released in coming months.
