According to trust source from CR. The long rumored EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS II USM lens will be finally hit on the market in November 2014. A demo version of this lens is already send to select photographers hands for field use.
The rumored Canon’s new super wide-angle zoom lens EF 11-24mm f/4L USM lens now get more confirmation from other source. CR said this lens is actually real, and the rumored price will be around $3,000 in US.
At Photokina 2014, Canon’s Chuck Westfall has confirmed to CNET that Canon is working on the replacement of EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS USM Lens. Though the release date for new EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS II USM lens is not available yet, Chuck Westfall said “It’s definitely on the boards for replacement”.
In the coming 2014, there will be a lot of new product announcements from Canon. As rumored before, many new lenses will coming as “year of the lens for Canon“. Besides, new camera bodies such as 7D Mark II and new EOS-1 will be also released.
According to CR, there will be a “flurry of new lenses in 2014”. Up to 8 new lenses will be announced in 2014. According to previous rumors, there are a lot of lenses been delayed for more than one year.
Google plus user Peter Norvig posted a new low resolution image, the lens in the image is a new Canon EF lens that haven’t seen before, according to CR, this lens is not the 28-300L, 100-400L and 70-200L. So this new lens could be the rumored EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS II USM lens.
