- Almost the same body as Sony A1
- Sensor is 33 million pixels to 36 million pixels
- 8K video is not supported
- 40 frames per second in 12bit RAW
- 30 frames per second in 14bit RAW
Although the specifications of Sony A9 III are not substantiated, it would not be surprising if Sony A9 III appeared with these exact specifications. The pixel count of 33 to 36 million pixels seems to be a good balance between high sensitivity and resolution, and is likely to be welcomed by sports photographers.
The current Sony A9 II (Amazon/ B&H/ Adorama) was officially announced in October 2019. It is more than three years ago.
