Nikon Z9: the Best Selling in the Second Half of October 2022 (CAPA)

CAPA CAMERA WEB posted the best selling products of Yodobashi Camera’s interchangeable lens digital cameras in the second half of October 2022. Nikon Z9 (Amazon/ B&H/ Adorama) wins the top 1 position, followed by Canon EOS R5 (Amazon/ B&H/ Adorama ).

The first place is Nikon Z9. It returned to the top position since the first half of February. However, Nikon’s entry into the top 10 is only Nikon Z9 this time.
Canon shows momentum with three models ranked in the top five. Canon EOS R3 entered the top 10 for the first time since the first half of September. However, Canon EOS R7 was out of the ranking.
Sony A7 IV body, which had reigned supreme until the last time, finished the 3rd place this time, stopping the top consecutive record at 11.
By manufacturer, Sony topped the list with 5 models. Canon catches up with four models. On the other hand, Nikon Z9 will compete with one model this time as well.
Despite the fact that Nikon Z9 is an expensive professional machine, it’s really amazing that it’s come back to Top 1 after more than 10 months since released. However, since only one Nikon model is ranked in, we would like to see a popular model on par with Nikon Z9 even for mid-range models.

Canon is doing well with EOS R5, R6, and R3 ranked high, but the supply of R7 seems to be unstable. It will be interesting to see how popular Canon R6 Mark II will become in the future.
