The Godox AD600Pro is a studio strobe aimed at professional photographers who need serious power and performance. Packing 600Ws of lighting power, the AD600Pro can keep up with demands of large sets and locations. Despite its high output, Godox has packed this monolight into a surprisingly compact form factor.

At the core of the AD600Pro is a 600W modeling lamp and flash tube. This level of power puts it in range of studio strobes costing far more. The modeling lamp not only aids in visualizing shadows before shooting, it recyles the flash faster than a standard strobe for quick bursts. Recycle times can be as fast as 0.01-2.5 seconds.

To control all that power, the AD600Pro features Godox’s 2.4Ghz X wireless radio system. This allows sync speeds up to 1/8000 sec and TTL when used on a Godox camera. The monolight can be triggered from up to 100m away for flexibility in studio or on-location. The AD600Pro also has a built-in Godox X receiver for wireless capability right out of the box. A sync port allows for wired triggering as a backup.

Despite the small size, the AD600Pro is packed with features photographers expect in higher-end strobes. There is a user-adjustable LED modeling lamp from 1-10 percent. The tiltable head rotates 180 degrees and tilts 270 degrees for aiming flexibility. An easy-to-read backlit LCD shows all the current settings. The strobe offers mode options like manual power, TTL auto-flash, and high-speed sync.

The AD600Pro has a Bowens S-Type mount for attaching all types of light modifiers, including softboxes, beauty dishes, grids and more. The round flash tube and included reflector provide even, smooth light quality. This makes the AD600Pro highly versatile for fashion, portraiture, product photography and more.

For a powerful 600Ws monolight, the AD600Pro holds up to demanding professional use while still being portable. At just over 6 lbs, it’s light enough to pack away in a case and bring on location. The strobe runs on AC power but can go mobile with an optional lithium battery pack.

If you’re looking move up from speedlights to professional studio lighting, the Godox AD600Pro is a top choice. It packs pro-level power into a go-anywhere package. With wireless control and TTL compatibility, it’s a high-powered strobe suitable for any studio or lighting project.
