According to Fujirumors, the new Fujifilm XF 16-55mm f/2.8 MarK II lens will be about 30% smaller and lighter than the current version.

This new lens is only 2mm wider and 5mm longer than the Sigma 18-50mm F2.8 DC DN lens. However, the price may be much higher.
The current FUJIFILM XF 16-55mm f/2.8 R LM WR lens costs $1,199 at Amazon/ B&H.
It is exciting! Maybe it’s not the most sought after feature, but we hope it will be parfocal “by wire” by which it stays in focus while zooming.
