Zeiss has posted a teaser on a new lens to be announced on April 14th, 2016.
Along with Sony RX10 III cyber-shot camera, Sony USA also announced two FE lenses for Sony a7 series full frame mirrorless cameras.
The Sony FE 50mm f/1.8 is a prime lens, giving photographers a considerably less expensive option compared to the Zeiss 55mm F1.8 currently on the market. This compact and lightweight lens is priced at $249 and will ship in May.
The Sony FE 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6 G OSS lens is the longest FE-mount tele-zoom available. It features four aspherical and two ED elements, optical image stabilization, and a Nano AR coating to reduce flare and ghosting. It’s also sealed against dust and moisture. The lens offers a minimum focus distance of 0.9m/3ft, and uses a linear actuator for smooth and silent autofocus. The 70-300 will also be available in May at a price of $1199.
According to SARumors, Zeiss will announce a new ultra-wide prime lens for Sony alpha mirrorless cameras in Mid-March, 2016. This lens will be Zeiss Batis 18mm f/2.8 lens.
Sony has just announced the new G Master full frame E-mount lens line, here are first three new GM lenses announced:

- FE 85mm f/1.4 GM telephoto prime lens (Amazon/B&H Photo/Adorama)
- FE 70-200mm f/2.8 GM OSS telephoto zoom lens (Amazon/B&H Photo/Adorama)
Sony introduced a new G master brand of interchangeable lenses and announced the first three models:
- FE 24-70mm f/2.8 GM standard zoom lens
- FE 85mm f/1.4 GM telephoto prime lens
- FE 70-200mm f/2.8 GM OSS telephoto zoom
Sony Japan has posted a new lens patent on Sony FE 28-70mm f/2 lens. This seems a very fast zoom lens for Sony full frame mirrorless cameras.
