Nikon has just announced the 1 Nikkor 32mm f/1.2 portrait lens for its 1 System of mirrorless cameras. The lens, which will provide the angle of view and depth of field control of an 86mmm F3.2 lens for a full-frame system, making it the most enthusiast-friendly lens yet released for the 1 System. The lens, whose development was announced in October 2012, is also the first to use a silent wave motor for focus and to incorporate the company’s ‘nano crystal coat.’

AF-S NIKKOR 800mm f/5.6E lens user’s manual, more sample images available

The AF-S NIKKOR 800mm f/5.6E FL ED VR lens now starts shipping to NPS members. Previous press release from Japan said this lens will be delayed until May 31, 2013.

DxOMark just tested the AF-S NIKKOR 70-200mm f/2.8G ED VR II lens. Tested on the Nikon D800, this lens got a DxOMark score 29, current the best 70-200mm lens for Nikon. It is one point higher than the recent released AF-S NIKKOR 70-200mm f/4G ED VR.
