2024 looks to be the year of Canon’s flagship EOS R1 and updated EOS R5 Mark II, but several other new cameras are expected as well. One of those may be the EOS R7 Mark II, the successor to 2022’s capable EOS R7 APS-C mirrorless model.
Reliable sources indicate there have been hints about an EOS R7 follow-up, though no specifications or announcement timeline clues have surfaced yet. In our view, Canon’s stacked sensor future should encompass an upscale APS-C offering to complement their full-frame lineup. While details are scant for now, the notion of an EOS R7 Mark II doesn’t seem far-fetched given the trajectory of Canon’s mirrorless system.
