Yesterday, we posted a rumor specs on upcoming Canon EOS 5D Mark IV, the specs list are from a test camera. According to NL, this test camera could be Canon EOS-5D C, to replace the Canon EOS-1D C. The price of Canon EOS-5D C will be around $12,000.
From Northlight
we’re told that the ‘general purpose’ 5D4 will come along with 5D C specialist video DSLR. 1D C sales have not been good enough to get the return on development of a new version.

rip off
Never used top end DSLRs, but based on what I get with 7DMII and 6D, I can’t imagine one being worth 6X as much.
They’re worth every penny if you’re a pro. Low light performance; sharpness at every focal point; not to mention the full frame sensor (how so you like your lens conversions? ) Although 12K is steep, if you think they’re a rip off, you’re not doing enough work to know the difference
I was actually fortunate enough to borrow a 1DC from a friend who shoots video professionally. The price is indeed insane but the boy the 1DC produces a beautiful 4K image. Canon has its color science nailed, the color and skintones are much better than my beloved a7s. Can’t wait for them to release the 5D C.
