According to rumors from SAR, the upcoming Sony Alpha a9 full frame mirrorless camera will have a DSLR alike design. Sony a9 will be the new flagship camera from Sony to beat Nikon D5 and Canon EOS-1D X Mark II. And Sony a9 will be E-mount, not A-mount.
From source:
The next generation flagship mirrorless camera from Sony will be a giant leap. It will drop a huge bomb in the imaging industry. It will not be A7III or A7RIII. It will be a new model above A7 series. I would say A9 (let’s name it as the new model). So the new A9 will have dual XQD card slot, no CFast version, only XQD. A9 can do UNLIMITED RAW burst, UNLIMITED. The camera wont pause for buffering.

unlimited with 3-5fps…
Would still be impressive. I wondering what the videospecs will be. 422 intern?
its mirrorless, what if it can do 24fps RAW? that would be cool. Someone’s going to get there first might as well be Sony. Think of it, RAW video, full frame and A7s low light performance. If it could do a 10 second burst 60fps RAW we really would have it all. File sizes would be immense. And computer would need serious upgrade to edit.
