According to dpreview, in a recent interview with Masaya Maeda – Managing Director and Chief Executive, Image Communication Products Operations at Canon, he said Canon is working on new high MP sensor and new mirrorless cameras. We will see these new products in the very near future. Previous rumors also said Canon will announce a high MP full frame camera at PhotoPlus 2014.
From dpreview:
Currently no Canon camera offers more than 22MP. Do your DSLR customers ask for higher resolution?
Yes. We know that many of our customers need more resolution and this is under consideration. In the very near future you can expect us to show something in terms of mirrorless and also a higher resolution sensor.

So.. more pro like Eos M is coming soon. I already have exellent Eos M 22mm and 11-22mm lenses and adapter for EF- lenses waiting for a new body with viewfinder. EFM- mount Telezoom f2,8 would also be wellcome.
Back in 2015, many things we have now didn’t exist. 😉
I applaud your arrogance in keeping us in tow until , what 2015,2016,2017??? When you might intro a new Mark IV? Really? I ‘am now wetting myself with joy in having to wait.
I want to thank Sony and Nikon for their innovation while Canon does the circle Je$K. Nice add in the WJ- just to see if we were still hanging around eh?
Canon- just keep doing what your doing-and all the people in the CEO cabinet start the Yubitsume (指詰め, “finger shortening) now, because that’s what its going to take to keep me a customer–and even then I most likely will sell all my canons and move to the other folks–Cheers and well done!
