    1. No you don’t. Magic Lantern is a free app for Canon DSLRs which provides built-in intervalvometer, amongst numerous other options for still images and video, that no Nikon has

      1. Hmm.. Definitely not an app, rather a firmware booting off the memory card. It freezes, crashes, and heats up the camera. MagicLantern is great, specially being able to shoot RAW on the 5D Mark III. Nikon has it built in vs possibly bricking your camera and voiding manufacturer warranty.

  1. The new D750 is definitely worth some attention. I’m looking forward to see some real field shooting results, not studio pixel peeping done by measurebators…

  2. Canon is failing and fast. They went from being the on top to falling behind almost everyone. Sony, Panasonic, and Nikon surpass Canon in video quality, image quality, and auto-focus performance. Nikon shoot sharper, more detailed pictures with much greater dynamic range. Panasonic and Sony shoot video that makes anything Canon has just plain laughable. I went from 6D to 5D Mark III back to 6D.. and now I am looking to move to Nikon. There are many things I love about Canon but at this point, their latest release is just playing catch up to the rest of the market. The 70D was an over hyped video camera that shoots just crap video quality. To get any decent video, you have to use MagicLantern to hack it and finally processing and editing raw video is a huge process within itself. Tisk tisk.. Nikon for pics and GH4 for video.
