2019 Global Camera Market Share: Canon, Sony & Nikon Still Top three

The Asian Wet Nikkei Asian Review posted 2019 worldwide camera market share.  Canon, Sony and Nikon are still the big three after Canon and Nikon released their full-frame mirrorless systems.

  • Sony 20.2% (+ 0.9)
  • Nikon 18.6% (- 1.6)
  • Fujifilm   4.7% (- 0.4)
  • Panasonic 4.7% (0.0 )

According to Nikkei, Canon is the biggest winner, increasing overall market share by 2.5% to a total 45.4%. Sony increases a 0.9% jump ahead of Nikon  in market share.

The top five camera companies make up 93.7% of global market share, although camera unit sales dropped by 22.4% of 2018.
