The upcoming Canon EOS R5 is now already listed at B&H/ Adorama. According to the latest rumors from CR2, two more Canon EOS R bodies will be announced and released in 2021.
There are probably three possibilities:
- Since the direct successor to EOS R is likely to be EOS R6, the possibility of a successor to EOS R can be ruled out.
- Canon EOS RP may be replaced to become the new low cost EOS R. It could possibly named “Canon EOS R9”.
- Many people expects Canon EOS R1 to arrive, but we think such a model might come further into the future.
