Canon has unveiled the new point and shoot compact cameras: PowerShot SX170 IS, PowerShot SX510 HS. The PowerShot SX510 HS’ predecessor, the SX500, used a 16 megapixel CCD sensor. The SX510 gets a 12.1 megapixel CMOS sensor, hence the new ‘HS’ designation. Built-in Wi-Fi is also added to the SX510’s feature set, and it offers what’s almost certainly the same 30x 24-720mm equivalent optical zoom lens that the SX500 used, a 3.0 inch LCD and 1080/24p video.
Canon will announced several new PowerShot Cameras tonight with new DIGIC 6 sensor.
