Sony FX50 to be Announced!

SAR confirmed that the next new Sony camera to be announced will be a video camera. Probably the new FX series E-mount camera. It will be Sony FX50!

“It looks like a Super35 version of the FX6 will be released next year. This camera will be equipped with 8-stop IBIS, variable e-ND, and will be called the FX50. It is known that it will support 4K/120p recording. However, the resolution was not reported to retailers. Will this camera continue to use the current Sony FX30‘s sensor, or will it use a lower resolution sensor similar to Sony FX6, such as a quad bayer version of Fujifilm X-H2‘s sensor?

It’s a rumor with unknown credibility, so it’s probably best to take things with a grain of salt when it comes to Sony FX50, but it seems almost certain that Sony’s next new product will be an E-mount camera from the FX series. The sensor installed in the FX50 is unknown, but I’m curious to see if Sony will also use a global shutter in the FX series.
