Samyang will soon announce a successor to the AF 35mm F1.4 FE lens.
This lens looks very similar to its predecessor, but has been updated with a custom switch and focus hold button. Perhaps there are some changes to the optical system as it is sharper and has improved contrast. AF is completely silent and is also a high performance astronomical lens.
The overall length of the teaser image lens is quite large, so we thought it was a medium telephoto lens, but it’s the same size and design as the current AF 35mm F1.4 FE. It will be easier to use for movies if the AF motor is replaced with a quieter one as rumored.
