Panasonic will announce two revised LEICA DG VARIO-ELMARIT zoom lenses along with the new Panasonic LUMIX G9 II on September 13th, 2023. Here are the leaked images.
- Leica DG Vario-Elmarit 35-100mm f/2.8 Power O.I.S
- Leica DG Vario-Elmarit 100-400mm f/4.0-6.3 II ASPH Power O.I.S.
As previously mentioned, Panasonic G9 II uses a new 25.2 megapixel m4/3 sensor equipped with image plane phase detection AF. All of these products will start shipping from November 2023.
It seems that the 35-100mm F2.8 will be changed from the LUMIX G brand to the LEICA DG brand lens.
Also, the 100-400mm F4-6.3 has been discontinued, and there were concerns that the super telephoto zoom would disappear from the lineup, but it looks like it will be replaced by a new model. The new model is compatible with teleconference and will be half-macro, so it is likely to be much more appealing.
