Panasonic has officially announced the DC-LX100 II compact camera today. The US price is $999, now available for at B&H Photo Video. The big change here is the 17 megapixel multi-aspect Four Thirds sensor, up from 12.8MP on the original model. The higher-res sensor, borrowed from the GX9, and new image processor produce improved fine detail capture and better color rendition, according to Panasonic.
