According to latest rumors around the web, Canon currently is working on a new version of 85mm L lens. CR said this new 85mm L lens will have image stabilization (IS) feature.
Below are rumored specs and feature of this new 85mm L lens:
- To be Announced at the end of 2016, likely around Photokina 2016 in September, 2016
- Incorporate the blue spectrum refractive element of the recently announced EF 35mm f/1.4L II USM Lens (Amazon, B&H Photo Video, Adorama)
- Weather sealed
- New manual focus system, a faster autofocus system
- Lighter than previous version
- Aperture could be f/1.2 or f/1.4
