Along with the upcoming EF 16-35mm f/2.8L III USM lens coming next month, Canon will also announce a new full frame zoom lens in next few months. According to CR, this lens will be the successor of EF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 IS USM lens.
The exact focal length of the lens is currently unknown yet. Stay tuned for more info. The official announcement will be in August, ready for Photokina 2016 and upcoming Canon EOS 5D Mark IV.
